The Madison County Veterans Service Office is established under Nebraska Revised Statute 80-407. Under this statute the Madison County Veteran Service Office provides assistance and guidance to Veterans, Widows of Veterans and their families for Federal, State, and County veterans programs and benefits based on the required elements for eligibility.
Federal Department of Veterans Affairs benefits include Education Benefits, Vocational Rehabilitation, Service-connected disability, Non-service connected disability pension, Health care and burial benefits.
Nebraska Department of Veteran Affairs Programs include Waiver of Tuition, Admission to the Nebraska Veterans Home and Emergency financial assistance through the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund.
The Madison County Veterans Service Office also serves as a trusted and respect partner in collaboration with other community agencies and Veterans organizations as needed to assist Veterans of the Madison County community.
